The Touch Diamond is slated to be formally unveiled on Tuesday, but for those who can't wait, an overview with pictures of this 3G Windows Mobile smartphone have appeared on the Web.

HTC Touch DiamondThe images and specifications of this device were leaked to newsmobile.it.

This smartphone will be an upgraded version of the very popular original HTC Touch, and targeted at the pro-sumer class.

Although the upcoming model will have a few more buttons than the current one, most user interaction will be done with the 2.8-inch VGA touchscreen.

It will reportedly run Windows Mobile 6.1 Pro on a 528 MHz Qualcomm processor and 128 MB of RAM, and include an updated version of this company's fingertip-oriented application launcher, Touch FLO.

The Touch Diamond will sport 4 GB of internal storage, plus a microSD card for more capacity.

The initial version will apparently be a quad-band GSM phone with 7.2 Mbps HSPA, but a CDMA version with EV-DO Rev. A. is expected later.

Additional wireless features will include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, and GPS.

It will reportedly have a rear-facing 3.2-megapixel camera with auto-focus, plus a front-facing VGA camera for video conferencing.

Other features will include a 900 mAh battery and sensor that call determine its orientation.

Overall, it will be 3.9 inches tell, 2.0 inches wide, and 0.42 inches thick  (99mm x 51mm × 10.7mm).

Pricing and availability won't be known until the official announcement on Tuesday.

In addition, those interested in this HTC smartphone should be aware that not all versions of it will have all these features. The wireless carriers who offer it will doubtless modify it to meet their needs.
